Zhong Lanzhu, is the 12th member of the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, introduced in Chapter 19 of the Love Live ALL STARS Story. She's a second year at Nijigasaki High School and a new transfer student. She is Mifune Shioriko's childhood friend and Mia Taylor's friend. Her image color is light pink.
She officially joins the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club in Chapter 29. She was added as an animated character in the MV menu on August 30, 2021 and became a fully playable character on September 3, 2021. Her and Mia debuted in Nijigasaki with L! L! L! (Love the Life We Live), along with the other 10 idols in the group.
She is voiced by Homoto Akina.
Description[]
A second year student. She's half-Chinese, coming from Hong Kong, and the chairwoman's daughter. She transferred to Nijigasaki and started her own school idol club. Her performances are perfect and have the strength to captivate the audience. She's a childhood friend of Shioriko. Lanzhu's name in Chinese: 鐘嵐珠. (In-Game)
Lanzhu is the daughter of the chairwoman so she is able to do anything she wants and get away with it, like disband the School Idol Club and act narcissistic with no punishment. Lanzhu made an opposing club called the “School Idol Association” and lured Ai, Karin, Shioriko and Shizuku from the School Idol Club into the Association.
Personality[]
She is self-centered and acts like a princess. She does most of the things she wants and can get away with it easily, like disbanding the School Idol Club. Her song “Queendom” fits her because her mother as the chairwoman would be the queen of a kingdom and her as the princess, and there being no king would be a Queendom.
In Chapter 29, Lanzhu apologizes to the player for her actions, feeling regretful and sorry for what she has done.

- She is the first rival in the Love Live! Franchise to be cruel and opposing to the main group.
- Because of her Chinese background, she can speak Mandarin and Cantonese natively.
- Despite the claims that she came from Hong Kong, Lanzhu's nationality has more hallmarks of a Mainland Chinese person than a Hongkonger given how her English-translated name is pronounced, her frequent usage of Mandarin Chinese, her songs are more reminiscent of Mandopop than Cantopop, and her general school idol outfits leaning to a stereotypical Chinese clothing.
- It should be noted that her surname "鐘" (a combination of "金" and "童") is not an actual family name, as the correct one is "鍾" ("金" and "重").
